I/O Functional Components - IOC

• Input/Output Controller (IOC) provides MFC interface to the VME bus

  • Decodes VME bus address to select RSC local memory
  • Manages contention between PIO and DMA operations, in conjunction with RBI
  • Requests the VME bus for all PIO VME operations
  • Passes VME interrupts and SYSFAIL to the RBI
  • Generates and acknowledges the MFC initiated VME interrupts
