Planetary aurorae R. Prange Observations of the auroral emissions from Jupiter and Saturn by recent planetary missions (Galileo, Cassini) together with ground-based telescopes and earth-orbiting observatories at various wavelengths now provide us with a comprehensive set of data from against which auroral models can be checked. I will be summarize our knowledge of the planetary aurorae, and compared them with the auroral processes at Earth, from a point of view as useful as possible for radio astronomers. _______________ European Geosciences Union General Assembly, Vienna, Austria, 2-7 April 2006
