Transferring large quantities of data across a 1553 interface requires some form of ìthrottlingî
100 msec service routine selected
SCU transmits a Time/Ephemeris frame across 1553 every 100 msec
Latencies will be measured on the ground and removed with software
Time/Ephemeris contains time, position, and status information
- 6 bytes of observatory clock time (maintained by SCU)
- 16 bytes of inertial attitude information in Quaternion format
- 12 bytes of rate information
- 1 byte indicating which side of the double buffers the SCU will be reading during this 100 msec period
