The Astronomy Career Game
DNA helix

I graduated from college with a degree in biology. I might decide to concentrate on paleontology, especially the study of molecular fossils in DNA.

Physics and math had always been hard subjects for me, but anything that had to do with living things really excited me. For many years, I thought that I really liked astronomy and wanted to do this as a career, but the physics and math classes just weren't working for me. I could never see the point in learning the kinds of math and physics they were teaching me. On the other hand, I absolutely loved learning about biology and living things, and got As in these subjects.

I decided to enter medical school to become a doctor, or a veterinarian. The neat thing about these subjects is that I could still work for NASA because human spaceflight requires doctors, and learning about animals and animal behavior is also important to some careers at NASA.
