IMAGE has been selected for the "Best Project" in Space Science
Award given at the APPL Project Management Shared Experiences seminar in September 2002
IMAGE was the first Medium-class Explorer (MIDEX) mission, delivered for launch four months
ahead of schedule, and within the cost cap established for the mission in 1996
IMAGE has received a 3-year extension to it's originally planned 2 years of operations
