Global views of the ring current

Latest measurements from IMAGE/HENA will be presented. Some global
effects, such as the interaction between the ring current and the
plasmasphere will be discussed. Also, results from the ENA imager
onboard the Swedish microsatellite Astrid-1 from early 1995 will be
presented. These observations show unexpected steady features of the
quiet time ring current.
