A Soda Bottle Magnetometer |

Students will construct a magnetometer to monitor the changes in the Earth's magnetic field due to solar storms. Materials include a two-liter soda bottle, index cards, packing tape, and other small items. The cost is around five dollars. Students enjoy this hand-on activity. This is a great project to continue monitoring at home, as well as for the school! |
