Cut in half: one green, one orange, and one violet wire. You will need a
short wire of each color for wiring the record switch. You will need the
second short piece of violet wire later; the other short orange and short
green pieces will not be needed.
Strip approximately one centimeter of insulation from each end of each wire and from the ends of the battery connector leads.
Locate the three slide switches in Bag 4. Solder wires to the switches according to the guide provided in Bag 4.
(Note: The switches provided are double pole double throw (DPDT) switches. There are six tabs on the back of each switch. When connecting wires to a switch, use the three tabs on one side of the switch or the other. It does not matter which side you use, but all connections must be made to the same side of the switch.)
Jacks in Bag 4
The 2.5mm jack you designate as the "off" jack is not connected in the circuit. It is merely used as a parking place for the power plug. The 3.5mm receiver out and mic jacks are connected to short wires from the record switch.
Locate the potentiometer in Bag 4 potentiometer is connected to the long violet wire from the record switch. It also has a long red and a long black wire connected to it as seen in the soldering guide in Bag 4.

Locate the power plug in Bag 4. The power plug is a 2.5 mm mono plug that must be shorted inside the handle. When it is placed in the power ON jack, it completes the circuit and turns on the receiver. In order to short the plug:
