Is the core of the Sun really hotter than its corona and surface?

The core of the Sun is at a temperature near 15 million degrees. the surface is at a temperature of 5770 K, and the corona is at a temperature of a few million degrees for reasons that have to do with the release of magnetic energy and other processes we do not fully understand right now.
